Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night- Official Forums

Are you a fan of Castlevania? Did you like the series before the reboot? If so, you aren’t the only one. Konami decided to go a different direction, and the long time director Kojima Igarashi was put aside. That was a mistake. Now Igarashi (IGA as we fans call him) has announced a new game of his own creation that will branch away from Konami and the official brand of Castlevania. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be very similar to Castlevania, a spiritual successor in every way possible. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is widely regarded by so many fans as the best game of the series (that and the amazing Super Castlevania IV of course). SotN was IGA’s first real involvement in the series, and he made many Castlevania games after it. All of the games that were similar were only released on hand held platforms like the Gameboy Advance, DS, etc. IGA’s tallents for that type of game were never allowed to reach their full potential on the big consoles. Bloodstained will be available on PC, Mac, Linux, Wii-U, Playstation 4 and Xbox One with a prequel game available on the 3DS.

Bloodstained was successful on Kickstarter. At the time, it broke the previous record for funding a video game in Kickstarter and exceeded it’s goal more than 6 times over. That’s not counting paypal. For more info about the game check that Kickstarter out at

During the Kickstarter, fans were limited in communication by the comments section. Someone would post a comment that had really valuable information only to have it quickly buried. That lead to a fan created forum. The forum was useful enough to grab the attention of Team IGA and it was made official. It’s a great way for fans to connect, communicate with the development team, share news and suggestions, and talk about things like Castlevania.

Not every fan can keep up with all the ongoing threads in a forum. That’s why this blog exists. This will be a place that the forum can keep audio broadcasts of the goings on at the forums. It will allow fans that don’t have time to read the posts everyday to get an impression of what’s been talked about. That will naturally give a history after a few shows of the evolution of that community so people could catch up by listening to them all. It would allow members as guests to talk about the game, Castlevania related stuff, or to promote their related interests.
